Soft Tissue Therapy
What’s involved
I treat muscle and joint pain or dysfunction from both the rigours of everyday life and injuries. As each one of us is an individual, every client is treated is done so in a bespoke manner. I may carry out posture and joint assessments prior to proceeding with massage combined with advanced techniques. The session will finish with some self management and rehab advice. Who would benefit
Anyone experiencing pain or dysfunction during their daily life. Limited range of motion, injury, postural issues, sciatica, MS, fibromyalgia, arthritis, carpal tunnel, post-surgery scar tissue, and lots more.

Deep Tissue Massage
What’s involved
A popular massage type, it involves a deeper massage with stronger pressure as required. Pressure level is always dictated by client comfort and can be adjusted accordingly. Depending on the issue, more than one session may be required. Please read the Deep Tissue Massage page for more detail.
Who would benefit
Those experiencing pain and possibly restricted movement from muscle tension and. This can be general or in a localised area e.g. around shoulder blades, neck, lower back, calves etc.

Sports / Remedial Massage
What’s involved
A popular massage type with active / keen sports people but can be beneficial to anyone. It involves a deep massage with stronger, controlled pressure and includes the use of some more advanced techniques where needed (Soft Tissue Release, Neuro Muscular Technique). Pressure is firm where necessary and there can be some discomfort in tight areas but open communication with the client regarding comfort level is constantly in use and pressure can be adjusted accordingly. Depending on the issue, more than one session may be required.
Who would benefit
Those experiencing pain and possibly restricted movement through workouts, training, injury or from muscle tension and knots. An hour session can be for a general full body treatment or it can be used to work on a couple of more localised areas e.g. around the shoulders, neck, lower back, calves, ankles etc. Shorter sessions are best for working on up to two specific problem areas.

RESTORE Scar Therapy
What’s involved
Gentle, specialist massage techniques are used on both old and new scars and the surrounding tissues to help reduce pain and sensitivity, improve movement & boost healing.
Who would benefit
Anyone who has existing scarring from, trauma or surgery which may be causing issues or those who would like treatment for new scars to help reduce the chance of developing issues as they mature.
Fees
£60 – up to 60mins, Initial appointment / follow up.
£40 – up to 30mins, follow up only.

Oncology Massage
What’s involved
A very light pressure massage tailored to your individual needs.
Who would benefit
Anyone who is either currently receiving cancer treatment or who has gone through cancer treatment within the past five years.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage
What’s involved
The therapist will use a very light touch technique to manually clear the lymph nodes and then push the lymphatic fluid towards the nodes to enable you to pass any excess fluid away naturally.
Who would benefit
Anyone suffering with bloating or water retention, recovering post cosmetic surgery or lymphoedema. It can also assist in the reduction of post injury swelling following the acute stage.
NB: A course of approximately 4 to 6 regular treatments gives a more satisfactory result if you are having MLD for a particular issue e.g: post surgery, lymphoedema.

Swedish Massage Therapy
What’s involved
Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energising and is the most common type used, for instance when you go on a Spa day. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on the uppermost layers of muscles. This is also combined with light manipulation of the joints.
Who would benefit
Those looking to relieve general muscle tension and boost circula-tion with light to medium pressure.

Aromatherapy
What’s involved
A light to medium pressure massage using long, slow, gliding strokes with a pre-blended aromatherapy oil. A great stress buster where you will feel added benefits from the essential oils used and the tensions of life begin to slip away.
Who would benefit
Someone who desires a totally relaxing massage and wants to become immersed in the intoxicating scent of essential oils.

Pregnancy (Mum-to-be) Massage
What’s involved
A gentle, relaxing massage using light pressure that focuses on the special needs of a mum-to-be as she goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone and helps relieve mental and physical fatigue.
Who would benefit
Any healthy mum to be, from week 13 onwards, who’s after some relaxation and relief from the aches associated with pregnancy.

Wellbeing (back, back of legs, face & scalp)
What’s involved
As per the Swedish therapy massage but includes the face, scalp & décolletage areas.
Who would benefit
A great choice if you fancy a Swedish type massage but wish to include the scalp area.

Hot Stones
What’s involved
A lovely specialist treatment using pre-heated, smooth, flat basalt stones. The weight of the stones provides the pressure during this treatment as they replace the palms of the therapist’s hands on the body, gliding over the skin. During the session some stones will be placed on your body and into your hands. Circulation is increased and the heat quickly relaxes your body allowing stored tension to be released.
Who would benefit
Clients after a comforting and calming treatment with the additional benefit of heat that can help soothe tired muscles.
